It’s challenging and stressful but the pay is well worth it. Being detail oriented and social will earn you bonus points. Long hours, without food or sitting down makes it physically difficult. The favoritism from the managers is absolutely awful. They pick their favorites and if you’re not one of them then you get treated like you’re worthless. They’ll work you 6 days in a week and force you to do doubles constantly and guilt trip you if you try to say no. If you don’t sell enough smothers, loads, etc. then you’ll put you at 2 tables so your income is split in half. Although I had learned every possible position, I was still waiting for a chance to advance. Unfortunately, the management team had their favorites and would get easily stressed out. On busy days or holidays, they wouldn't schedule enough employees to handle the workload.
