The work is easy enough, but none of the tools are taken care of, managment has no idea what's going on, the facilities are trash, nobody communicates well, the training is a joke, safety is garbage. Pay is terrible too. HR is incredibly unhelpful. Basically, dont work here. Truss Designer Chesapeake, VA USA Awesome place to work I have a large resume of experience; littered with not so great jobs, and UFP is at the top of this list as one of the best jobs that I have ever held. Everyone here was very welcoming. My training team was very informative and inclusive. My current management is Grade-A top notch people that really seem to care about you and want you to succeed. Our facilities are following all the covid-19 precautions to maintain a health work environment. Office Administrator Liberty, NC USA Happy work enviroment I am an office employee and I have been here about 5 and 1/2 years. I truly can say that most days I really do love my job. I really couldn't ask for a better work team! I have learned so much over the past 5 years from payroll to dispatching. We also get a production bonus as long as we hit a certain board feet produced each week. I really can't say anything bad about working for UFP. I feel like I am appreciated and needed every single day. Good Management! I am going on my 19th year of working with UFP. This place is my 2nd home and the people I work with are like family. Management is easy to work with and willing to listen to new ideas. On top of my hourly pay, employees eligible for insurance receive some money to help with the cost and if production is good (which is almost always) I get a bonus along with the shop employees!! If family situations occur, they are willing to help out or work with me. Other Grandview, TX USA Great coworkers and fun place to work at Before the new maintenance supervisor took over the department was great and fun to work in. The new supervisor wants years of experience while having NO supervisor experience himself. That guys a joke and I won’t be surprised if more people leave. Apart from that everything else was great. Everyone gets along and try to help/teach one another. The atmosphere is fun and enjoyable. Great place to learn new skills.
