There wasn’t anything positive about working for UPC.

The workload is incredible and unsustainable. Management has no expertise and ego driven.

The work environment is stiff and caustic. Only friends of Management are comfortable.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start work at 8am then skip lunch, look up at 5pm. Stay until 8 pm until your family is calling you to come home.

UPC was a great place to work. They had great culture, would allow you to try other skills/roles if you wanted to. Great teams, teamwork and team leads. Pay is a bit low. Sometimes bonus pay made up. Busy days and overtime. Alot of caring people worked there.

Closing claims is the name of the game. Large loads of simple files interspersed with complex losses. Endless help from upper management. Pays well for relatively simple work.

Great peers
|
I loved the peers I worked with. Most managers were great. The job/volume was difficult to manage. The company had good benefits and was flexible about schedule. Being remote was great to get to appointments, etc and flex hours.

Supportive, Challenging and great culture

UPC was a great place to work during the time I was there. Management and support staff allowed you to learn, grow, contribute and overall control your input/output. If you worked hard it was appreciated both verbally and monetarily. If you wanted to learn more or different roles - they would teach you. Always willing to work with you thru ups or downs. Nothing bad to say. Great culture, great group of people and sad to say goodbye but leave knowing all will succeed.

Not good. Micromanagement, lies. Incompetence.

UPC was a great company to work for back in 2016 to about 2019 than everything slowly went downhill. Great learning experience and great co-workers. The claims department was the heart of the company but never received recognition.
