The company is solid. The HUBs don't make a lot of sense but it is retail banking so not much makes sense. Management was very good where I was but the goals were a little unrealistic.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Simple job.
Benefits ok.
Nice enough customers.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with the fraud and customers who can't understand not to give their information out to people over the phone to strangers.
So much of the day is spent explaining that they can't use their debit card, one has been ordered, and it's not MY fault.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Over communication of unimportant things (contests, 'woo hoo' someone did something in another state, etc) made it hard to weed out necessary information.
Most people were nice.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Clock in.
Help customers.
Clock out.
Mind numbing.

Abysmal Staffing Levels & a Generally Not So Great Bank
|
I had high hopes coming here based on old, pre-merger reviews, but after a year this place has does nothing but diminish my professionalism and future opportunity. I feel more like I'm working in a middle school lunch room than a financial institution, certain bad behaviors are allowed to run rampant. Absent branch management, out of touch upper management, zero guidance, zero training, zero collaboration between branches so you can't find help elsewhere. Constantly increasing sales pressure, yet bankers are glued to the teller line all day. Staffing levels so low it's impossible to complete tasks, each day starts with a pile of work left over from the day before, with no end in sight. Exhausting. If you have considerable experience, please seek greener pastures.
