Steer clear- Toxic Micromanagement Environment
Remote, benefits are decent ,401k Match
Bleeding ulcers due to stress, dodging rounds of layoffs, ever changing rules and reports, Enough Slack channels to make you go blind. Sub-par managers who whip you on slack, never ending useless Mind Tickle trainings, Changing commission structures without Employee consent or signatures (probably illegal ). This is not the job for you steer clear!!!! Unless you like to be ground to death with rules , call reports , tasks, trainings, and webcam calls. Don’t get a job here you are nothing more than the numbers that you produce. - You might as well take your skills and go make more money somewhere else …

Why did you take an awesome company and drive it straight in the fiery dumpster? Leave people alone! Don’t change their pay, compensation, commission and ask them to do more! You should have laid off 10% hell 15% and left everything and everyone alone! Stop micromanaging everything and everyone! Stop treating your salesforce as your Marketing team, stop being cheap - You have a Callcenter start utilizing it! You have a skilled salesforce and you are treating them as Callcenter agents. Most people knew that there was going to be a layoff when the Investment Holding Company Mossytree Inc ( owned by Executive Leadership) had a huge sell off of stock based on SEC filings just a week prior to the layoffs …

Not the best working environment. Cold and rude.

Not much at all to mention. Save gas, that’s it!
Vacasa uses your internet and supplies and is not there for you plus when summer hits it is a rental cleaning and maintenance nightmare where guests dump on agents every 5 minutes.

The working hours were between 10am-variable. If you want lots of hours this is the place to work and I got a dollar raise every summer I rejoined the team.
Cons include: constantly short staffed, management was constantly trying to call you in on your day off-if you didn't agree to come in they would cut your hours significantly, they were always hiring new people but didn't train them which caused more work for everyone else, they gave you completely unreasonable amounts of work causing you to work 10-16 hour shifts multiple times a week, they were constantly out of cleaning supplies, and management didn't know how to take accountability and was constantly blaming the housekeepers for everything.

There are none. It's a corporate so they have 3rd party for everything and when you need an issue resolved it won't get resolved. But i bet if you were some transgender person you'd get your issue resolved with a quickness

Onboarding Coordinator
Portland, OR
Everyone is making their exit!
The co-workers on all of the onboarding teams are so nice and try to be helpful while being under way too much pressure to do more work than any one person should be asked to do for such low pay.
Directors and managers are jumping ship all of the sudden. Management needs a lot of work. When you reach out to a manager for help or guidance and they send you the link to an article from the company intranet handbook, it shows you that they don't know how to do what they are asking you to do. There is no real training and you are constantly being asked to change your workflow and process without a true understanding of what that looks like. It's like the kids are running the preschool. Lots of favoritism and bad leadership decisions that leave everyone drowning in questions and no help to be found anywhere. Just ask your peers, train each other, do more, more, more, but we won't recognize you for it. It's getting worse by the day and management expects you to believe it is normal and that you just aren't adapting to change. There are so many talented people and natural leaders that are overlooked on a continual basis while some are moving up due to favoritism. Nobody knows what they are doing and you can feel the frustration in everyone while they smile and just try not to drown. It looks bad when these desperate decisions are made and rolled out so quickly. There are managers doing more than they should be asked to because the company doesn't want to fill the voids being left by those who have moved on.

Wrangle in your budget and finances so you can put more money toward the employees that are putting in the hard work. Stop changing everything on a constant basis, find a process and stick to it for longer than a few months, then actually train people in the process. Stop having onboarding follow a process that you are unfamiliar with. Recognize the natural leaders and those who are accountable and pay them rather than putting your friends in leadership positions. Train the managers in any new processes so they truly know how to onboard and can actually work with and help their teams rather than just look at reports and numbers and tell their downline to "ask a co-worker" or "read this document".

Get a better idea of where you want things to go. Be clear, honest, and empathetic with your employees. Put more energy into getting your employees together for on-sites more often. Saying we are in a "transformative" period will not fix the countless layoffs you've instituted, many of which made some incredibly bad decisions. Some of us are being paid way below where we should be given the work we have to pick up from people who get laid off. Foster better culture.
