Frustrated employees always trying to find your faults and then use them against you. HR doesn't do anything. Managers don't care. You can't grow here if you have a bad manager and/or coworkers, there is absolutely nothing HR can do about it. So, the only way to resolve it is to quit.
I was actually fired when I went to HR with the issues I was facing there. On paper, they wrote performance issues but verbally my manager said "You shouldn't have gone to the HR".

Great people, good opportunity to gain experience, but company vision is constantly in flux

I love the people. Friendly, supportive atmosphere and people really try to help each other succeed. Very little office politics. They seem to provide good salaries and the science of engineering AAV capsids is promising and exciting. Great in-house capabilities with regard to research, analytics, material production, & process development.
|
Constant changes in management and direction. Often revisiting basic decisions over and over again. Unable to stick to timelines or meet key deliverables. Hiring practices make it difficult to attract talent so often forced to settle for people who lack experience, but are willing to learn (across all levels) so many people are in roles they are learning and very few people have true experience or leadership abilities. Lack some key expertise in important functions resulting in major gaps in program planning.

Make decisions and stick to them so programs can move forward instead of constantly revisiting them and wasting time and resources. Find ways to retain experienced employees (full time & contract), rely less on contract positions & consultants and invest more in full time positions.
