A typical day at work, myself and 1 other person did extra prepping in lack of other prep cooks that could not fulfill their role. We jumped back and forth between prepping and cooking and often could not meet the standards of stock in the walk-in. (Ex: 14 trays of ranch, 2 full buckets of prepped celery and carrots each, trays of bleu cheese, etc.)
I learned how serious communication and teamwork is needed in a workplace.
Management was great when it came to requesting days off, even if it was last minute. However, Management failed to disperse tension between their employees, and unfortunately usually participated in gossip instead of taking initiative to stop arguments. I also noticed they failed to talk to each other with respect and instead made slights and passive aggressive comments towards or about each other.
The culture of my Wingstop location was tense and unprofessional.
The hardest part of my job was getting along with my coworkers.
Honestly, the most enjoyable part of my job was getting free food due to messed up orders.
All this being said, I know this review is hardly positive at all. I wanted to be as honest and transparent as I could, because I believe that's what this is for. I hope this review helps better the workplace for future Wingstop Employees.
