These four people in my department would always follow me around looking for any excuse to make a fuss at me or snitch on me. For example, one person gave me an attitude because I didn't empty out a trash can that literally had just ONE LITTLE WRAPPER in it. Another person told on me because I sprayed Windex inside a microwave I was cleaning. The worst part about this snitching and nitpicking is that it all gets enabled and covered up. I'm not stupid. I know what they were trying to do. I know it was their intention to snitch. There's a reason why this department has a lot of turnover. There's a total of 15 people in this department. 8 people including me had been there not even 6 months. At least 1 or 2 others for less than a year. I found something better and so can you. Encore Wire is not some exclusive place to work. At least not this department. I was not going to stay here and deal with this. Benefits are also pretty decent and affordable. Hours cut constantly, poor communication from upper management, pay is low for the amount of work and quality desired by management, and lousy "pay raises" and worker evaluations. Weekend schedule never put up until Friday so it's impossible to know whether or not you can make plans for the weekend , and holiday schedules are pretty much the same way. These four ladies loved making a fuss at me over anything. I can't tell you how many times they've snitched on me, hassled me, followed me around, etc. For example, one of them made a fuss over this trash can I didn't empty out. It had literally just ONE LITTLE WRAPPER in it. I don't care what anyone says. I was gonna leave this job on my own regardless. Truth is, there has been a lot of turnover in this department. There was a total of 13-15 of us. 13 of us were entry level employees. 8 people including me had been there for less than 6 months. 1 or 2 others for less than a year. Why so much turnover? To be fair, this is just what I know about and this year alone. I've been doing custodial work somewhere else now.
