Wine Snobs Gone Wild! My co-workers ruined the vibe for everyone.
I found the salary to be reasonable for the work I was doing.
My former coworkers, especially those who've been there a while, were insufferably pretentious. They talk down to customers, using overly technical jargon and acting like they posses the sole key to appreciating wine. It created a snobby atmosphere that's off-putting.

High Employee Turnover Rate Due to Management's Deception
You get to see how wine is made. It can be an exciting experience for some time but might not seem so appealing after a while.
The employee turnover rate was awfully high here. I blame the management for that. They are evil people who mislead potential employees. They never share the full details of the job description as they want you to take on tons of work. The work hours are long and stressful, and the workloads is brutal. You better avoid working here if you like things to be real or simple.

There are a few abusive managers
The workplace is great, and my co-workers are nice.
There are a few abusive managers here at Willamette Valley Vineyards who create a toxic work environment and undermine the kindness of the other managers. Their disrespectful behavior and awful treatment contribute to high levels of stress and toxicity among the employees. I suggest you avoid these managers if you decide to work here.

Personal Growth Opportunities

Improvements in HR, Production Mgt and Retail leadership over the past two years have been dramatic and needed. New mature and experienced managers have substantially improved employee growth opportunities.
Overcoming the higher costs of a recent, previous vintage and inexperienced junior management has been a challenge, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Company culture has declined as people are overworked and stressed
You are surrounded by lush landscape and vineyards, people are passionate.
Long hours, they will work you as much as they can if you're salaried. Company culture has declined as people are overworked and stressed. Management is generally awful, has a lot of favoritism and certain positions are looked down on even if they are very important to the daily operations. Worst place I've ever worked at . Save yourself the mental pain.

Outmoded Training Hinders Ambassadors' Understanding of Winemaking
I appreciated that the company offered regular pay increases and performance bonuses.
The owner's obstinate insistence on maintaining an outdated and inefficient training program left us, the ambassadors, struggling to keep up with the ever-evolving world of winemaking and viticulture. The company's deplorable lack on investment in its employee was evident in the meager resources provided for our training. We were expected to memorize an extensive list of facts and figures about our wines, yet we were given no access to the vineyards or the winery itself. This made it impossible to gain a firsthand understanding of the production process, leaving us with a superficial knowledge of our products.
