It's all about getting people to become stockholders and not about service. Employees were pumped up when needed to impress current stockholders and then dropped on a dime under the avoidance tactic of, "It's just not working." I so wanted to love working there. But, alas... The top management was responsible for it. They played blame games and mind games to make employees work against each other. This ridiculous approach meant that there was no teamwork. I learned how to be fake and lie blatantly to save my own interests. When I couldn't handle the toxicity anymore I left! I learned how to lie. I don't really hate the job itself, but I hate the experience of having a job in this terrible company. The management is toxic, and most of the managers are bullies who always yell at employees. They sometimes even humiliate and insult is in front of other people! It was a totally non confrontational management style that never got anything done. For MONTHS I was promised full time but without warning I wouldnt be scheduled for weeks on end. Every time I brought this to managers attention I was told to talk to HR, HR told me to talk to management and I ended up running in circles and nothing ended up changing, the problem just ended up getting worse. To make matters even worse when I was already struggling to get hours a new person was hired in my position. I was told “we cant give you their hours” but they received all of mine? I asked if I was doing something wrong and was told I was doing everything right and doing a great job but my hours kept decreasing. People would do things like not show up, show up incredibly late, refuse to do their job or just generally do it terrible and NEVER received consequences no matter how many times the behavior was reported, it was always treated as “venting” instead of a genuine issue being brought to management attention. Customers would be awful to employees and would be rewarded for it to avoid problems. We're constantly understaffed, which forces us to take on more work than we should have, and we don't even get paid extra for all the extra effort. Everyone is stretched to the breaking point. When they can't find new employees, they just pile work on the existing workforce, rewarding them with longer hours and no salary bump for their efforts. The company has strayed away from its values but they continue to push it on new employees. Part timers often work 8 hours a day but we still don't get to be a full time employee and not get full time benefits. The hours are awful, the work, the management were brutal and abusive! There's not one good thing to find in this work. Avoid. Just like I've mentioned, there's not one good thing to see here. Not at work, the management, the entire company! They often reduced our staff, even on busy days, causing us to be constantly overworked and stressed. They also excessively monitored and interfered with our work, eroding our trust. This made me feel stuck and demotivated, as I wasn't doing my best, learning, or forming meaningful relationships with coworkers. Every person is supposed to work against each other. They created an awful competition among colleagues, which led to terrible mistrust and fake behavior. I never felt happy. Neither can you. BEWARE!
