The employees at the office were very welcoming and it seemed all the departments interacted with one another. The workload in any given week was predictable and generally not too heavy- not counting internal/ external audit preparations. I do not mind sitting in silence and looking at workflows and documents for a few hours straight, so this felt like a pro for me rather than a con. I appreciated how binary my first job in QA was- whatever you're looking at, it's either acceptable or not acceptable.

The QA department constantly felt understaffed, and physical document control was already pretty disorganized when I got there. It felt like I would encounter a new issue in the uniformity and categorization criteria of documents in our QMS every week. There were way too many inconsistencies in our QMS that should have been fixed well before I got to the company and clearly no one bothered to fix them for years on end. QA is supposed to monitor and fix the mistakes of other departments, but I feel like a lot of my focus was geared towards the mistakes of our own department.

Easy job, if you enjoy playing on your cell phone all day when equipment breaks that they have no Maintenance SOPs for.

Bullies that forge your initials to get rid of you because of racism, terrible communication from management, documents have errors everywhere (they don't want fixed), terrible planning for downtime of manufacturing, no cross training allowed if you are eager to help, don't ask if anyone wants help, and a very unstable work environment that leads to high stress on a day to day shift.
