It was ok. They restructured and eliminated tons of positions. The company was bought out and those who followed them
To Arizona are safe and the rest forced to quit.

I never wish Ill will on anyone but I do with the leadership at Ashford. I’ve noticed that they’re still there too.

Definition of revolving door. I would rather go back to the Gulf War than work at any place like that again.

The lack of leadership was the biggest problem. Abusive managers that would blame the Directors.

The most negative stressful place I’ve ever been. I was is the mid East too

Fine until other people just wanted more courses so to maximize their course load, they will get rid of other adjuncts teaching the same discipline.

no communication and they do what they want.

not knowing where you stand as an adjunct
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
it is okay until they want you out. There is no communication with the Department Chairperson but other adjuncts can decide you fate. Obviously, they want more classes so they will try to find something wrong with your classroom.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Don't know. They let me go for no reason after 8 years and mentioned that I colleague observed my class and found something wrong in their eyes.

Good stepping stone

Was ok. Under paid and very hard to advance. Also they didn't give you raises often. Working there was only durable because of my colleagues and a few cool managers

Horrible place to work, good for a start up career ONLY.

After working here for some time, I had time to gather my thoughts. I have been wanting to write this review for months now. Sadly, their management can do better/ be better. There is no positives about this company, unless you are going to school to receive your degree, in which they pay for.
Let’s get into it, first off, this company is only good for a startup career. As an employee for 3 years now, I have observed a lot, I also keep a log of what they do wrong, which is a TON.
The management team micromanages like crazy. The micromanaging is comical, they act like you are in a doctor role as your life depends on it, at a call center, I never seen such a hostile environment like this before and I have worked at several call centers. Another issue , is the managers do not care about your well being. I have noticed they will brown nose you, if you are smart you will catch on quick. Lastly, they max (cap) your pay at $24 an hour as of January, 1st 2023. With inflation, today, that is way below the average pay.

Ok but no growth
|
Worked at Ashford for over a year in admissions. It was a fun and upbeat work environment, but no room for growth. Pay was low compared with other area jobs. My manager was great.

Not a good company, high pressure sales, cold calling numbers of people not interested in school, if unable to meet sales they want you too make they will scare you into quiting.

Not a bad place to work
|
The atmosphere in my department was congenial, and my coworkers were fun to be around. The work was routine, but not particularly tedious, and management was supportive.
I understand that people who worked in admissions had a... different experience.
