A Good Experience

Best part about the Inside Sales Rep position was that it was a work from home position. We were required to make 20+ calls per hour and 25+ Sales per month. We received commission based off the items rented in basic categories of small, medium & large ticket items. The amount per sale wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either. Management was awesome. Very understanding, accommodating and gave rewards for good call scores often. The downside of the job was when my headset and laptop charger broke (company issued) I had to replace both out of pocket. The other unfortunate thing is the position was eliminated and the whole department was laid off. It was a good run while it lasted.

Used to be great , good benefits , good pay, then a new CEO arrived and everything went downhill, lost a lot of business, worst customers , dead beat people committed almost to steat merchandise, bonuses reformulation all the time, rules changed almost every single month, etc.

You deal with a lot of customers that seem to be upset either over the phone or in person at their homes. You need to try to get them to pay in a timely manner in order to hit certain goals. If goals are not met you need to work until 9 pm 2-4 days a week.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Benefits, paid holiday's, nothing much else to speak of. It's a who you know and not a what you know company

Hours, knocking on strangers doors in sketchy neighborhoods in pitch dark of night
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Aarons had culture when my career first started there. Then it went publicly traded once the owners sold out and just like with anything else, when the original owners sell out or step down, companies go to complete waste
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very stressful, always required to meet or exceed sales levels and when you do you are not compensated whatsoever or even get a good Ole fashioned at a boy. Oh,one more thing......if you don't have short spiked hair and a goatee, then don't bother, you only be a low level employee for your entire tenure. Pathetic losers

Trust us the hardest part. Everybody is out to get somebody that knows what your doing wrong. They will push you out so they don't get caught. Upper management is clueless as to what's going on.

If you’re not ok with getting over on people who can barely afford to pay for the poorly made over priced furniture then DONT WORK THERE!! The staff is very unprofessional speaks horrible about the customers and laugh about how they get over. The pay is insulting as well but if you’re looking to advance there is plenty of room because the GM either does too much or not enough!
