Director Rochester, NH USA Cares about well being of employees Albany has done a great job during COVID balancing the needs of the employees with the realities of a stressed economy and industry downturns. A lot of efforts have been made to keep people safe either by encouraging social distancing by having everyone possible work from home or implementing new healthy practices for those who have to come in to work. Messages from management stress the importance of employee contributions to company success and this is backed up by pay and benefits. My supervisors were kind, supportive, and very safety oriented. Every morning we'd have a small group meeting, and they'd give an example of how to be safe on the work floor. Upper management would make poor decisions every now and then that effected our job negatively. Great people to work with. Great bosses. We then are assigned what areas we are needed then we head to work. We have 12 hours to build our parts and if needed to get training to be certified on other parts.If you need help, management is willing to help you as well as more advanced employees. Albany is uniquely positioned in that it has a great pool of talent with diverse backgrounds in a couple that is large enough to be a player in major development and high production projects without being so big that you can't make a difference. The teams I have worked on at Albany have had significant challenges but we have been able to work together to work through them and make things better. I find enjoyment working with my colleagues, peers, and mentors. I feel as though it is a team environment where everyone is working together to ensure the success of the company over the success of oneself. Working for Albany can be demanding as the products are crucial for the economy in the USA. So it's important to remember a good professional/person life balance while still remembering to fulfill your responsibilities. This can be challenging but crucial to maintain positive environments.
