Underpaid and underappreciated

I started off proud of my job and happy to come to work each day. Burn out is real! Mandatory 10 hour days one week and 8 the next (flip flop) or every other Saturday in this stuffy and unventilated facility is enough to kill anyone's happiness. Plant manager is never on the floor, but always in the heat or air conditioning. The supervisors are nice, but a little submissive. They can't keep employees because the don't appreciate the ones they've got. Safety isn't truly a concern; the place is filled with faulty equipment, fire hazards, and simply unsafe situations. The welding robots go down every day (not exaggerating) and maintenance is called. The insurance and coworkers are the only reason I stay.

Do your job and stay busy and all will be good.

Pretty much the same thing on a daily basis. Very few times would be given tasks that were new are unusual.

Cultuur en werkwijze niet van deze tijd.

Ik heb 6 weken bij deze bedrijf gewerkt. Tijdens mij inwerkperiode mocht ik geen aantekening maken van degen mij inwerkt. De werkwijze was zo niet van deze tijd. Facturen zijn uitgeprint, handmatig gecodeerd en gecontroleerd. Alfabetisch volgende zetten, ingeboekt, gescand. Volgens boekingsnummer in volgorden gezet. In de mappen zoeken naar boekkingsnummer zo kun je de ingeboekte facturen in de mappen doen. Kost zoveel tijd. En per dag minimaal 50 facturen boeken. Zo ouderwets en heel vaak de facturen zijn zoek geraakt. De sfeer in de kantoor als een circus. De nieuw leidinggevende zo onzeker een laagzelfbeeld persoon, die geen zelfreflectie heeft, heeft altijd een iemand bij zich nodig om haar werk te doen. Ook bij het opstellen van mijn AOVK zo vaak fouten gemaak. Voortduren verwijzing aangevraagd dat volgens afspraak op de AOVK moet komen te staan. Ook een fout gemaakt van mijn ADV uren blijkt achteraf. Zo vragen ze aan mij of ik niet langer uren willen werken voor de ADV uren. Om hun fout zo te corrigeren. Ik heb nog nooit zo een onprofessioneel bedrijf meegemaakt. Die hun zaken niet in orde zijn. En hun fouten niet willen inzien en ongegeneerd in andermans schonen schuiven. Zielig is dit!

The few people in the customer service department that actually know anything about the prodcuts Alamo sells are overwhelmed by trying to help the folks that know nothing. Add that to a manager that also has no product knowledge and you have Almo Group Customer Service.
