The culture has really taken a nosedive since the layoffs.

The benefits are really good, and they definitely keep promise on letting you take your PTO and using all of it. That’s where the “do it right” culture ends.
|
The pay is solidly under market, raises are subpar even in the most profitable years, and people get promoted for just doing their jobs or being chosen children. The new structure in procurement is chaotic at best. The leadership is elitist and shaky, and it is going to have an impact on the internal customers. There might be other areas where one can have a completely different experience, but I would strongly recommend going elsewhere with a career in supply chain.

Include age as part of your DEI strategy. In supply chain, almost all the layoffs were people over 50, and the promotions are all millennials or Gen Z. It sends a message that you have no career advancement if you are over 40.

The Internal Audit Department is toxic and hostile to anyone that is not a millennial directly by the most Senior Executive and blatant retaliation by the Senior Executives in the HR Department. Why are there no consent orders by regulators against this bank that continues to break the law? Why is the Internal Audit Department allowed to discriminate, retaliate and then go throughout the bank auditing/reporting on other department's infractions? They are not accountable and do not comply with ethics or company policies themselves. Why isn't anyone including the Board monitoring the toxic Internal Audit Department? Regulators- Please audit this bank.

When I started things were well formed and we were able to have focused teams that could not be stopped. The people were great the culture was exciting.
|
All it took was for one founder to retire to go completely downhill. The pay was never good in fact it was extremely subpar. They call it Ally financial but you are really working for a 13-year-old startup that never made any money and was acquired by GMAC. They hired someone as president who is only there for maybe a year that disbanded all teams and created functional teams ruined any synergy we had and the culture disintegrated and she left the company and so did most of the employees.
