Restructuring every year due to poor management and lack of organizational strategy. Every year you will have the opportunity to find a new job without warning due to the decisions of management located in Germany.
Human Resources lies during the interview, onboarding, and while you work there. If they are not lying, they are ignoring you. You can't always blame them because it is partly due to their incompetence.
Zero mentorship or growth opportunities.
Highly political.

Very low pay and no bonuses (despite what they tell you)
The worst management I have ever experienced
The worst overall strategy I have ever experienced at a company. They are losing to competitors on almost every single front.
Old technology, High costs, and no solution in sight from the product side.
Overall, dark and gloomy environment to work.
Again, they lay people off almost every year without cause or warning but they keep the same people who keep creating the poor strategies.

Company is trying to move forward to become more innovative. 4. Many talented people at the manufacturing locations. 5. Decent work-life balance at the location I work at but this is not universal across Barnes. 6. Bonus potential

1. Corporate is extremely top-heavy and there are many levels of management. Company lacks agility due to the multitude of layers of approvers that any idea needs to go through to be implemented. 2. Executive leadership team is completely out of the loop when it comes to what the manufacturing locations truly need. Very few opportunities to engage with the executive leadership team. 3. Benefits are not bad but are very expensive in comparison to other companies of this size with some pretty ugly co-pays and deductibles. 4. Corporate tends to dictate rather than support the various functional areas within the company. 5. Frequent "right-sizing" and reduction in force actions in the manufacturing locations. Current executive leadership team is severely short-sighted and the furthest they look ahead is the end of the month.
