You will be over worked and there isn’t a lot of room for growth. Normal work days. But the structure of how the work is waved out, isn’t the best for most departments, especially when your multiple departments have to work together in order to get number don’t completely. You will most get your tasks from your group lead and your supervisor will be clueless on the work out put and leave you in the dark and not let you know what’s going on. You will always deal with a lot of people manipulating the code of conduct. So if you’re a hardworking I would suggest you look somewhere. Growth in the company is nonexistent. Hiring within the company isn’t something they will do. They will let you learn how do a certain job, along with its work functions and give you the responsibility in the position. To turn around bring someone new in 6 months down the line just for you to turn them and give that person the pay-rate of that position and then demote you. You’ll have issues with wanting to use pto, even after it was being sign off just for the manager to come to use and tell you that you can’t take that day off because of numbers. Electric car chargers, asset protection, multiple vending machine in the break room. Terrible work ethics, not living up to standards, terrible leadership, terrible communication. You learn a lot and if you are dedicated, you have plenty of room to grow! When you clock-in you touch base with your Team Lead and start hitting the floor with your designated job. The stores I worked at kept a nice daily balance between selling on the floor, cashiering, and replenishing. When I started I was very shy, but thanks to managers who coached me up I was able to break my shell and become one of my store's best sellers. From Shipment Lead to Assistant Manager, I miss my time at BBW sometimes (especially how buff I got from hulling Candles and Soaps up and down ladders during Holiday). Free product. Somewhat Flexible Hours. Flexible time off. Great Job Ladder. Fun work environment. Retail work-life balance. Most of the permanent coworkers are lovely to work with, temporary ones can be a mixed bag. The managers are kind and understanding, and will gently push you to be the best you can be. Corporate seems a little disconnected, but in the day-to-day life that doesn't matter much. The only real downside to the job is that you might work a few days a week outside of holidays, if you're lucky. Most of my coworkers have second jobs. Great entry-level job overall. I would say the pay was pretty good for the amount of work I had to do and since the stores in the mall it made getting lunch easier. New management This job is by far my favorite of all the jobs I’ve had. It was easy to get the hang of how things are done, coworkers were amazing and so nice, customers were usually so sweet, and the whole staff just felt like family. The only downside was the hours. Because of the location and people not really knowing it’s there, it got REALLY slow. Close to an hour would go by without anyone walking in, so naturally hours were very short. Many of us would get 4 hours a week or none at all. The newer management also began making it feel more like a job, rather than some fun side thing, by sucking the fun out of things by constantly nagging you to do something, even when you literally took a tiny breather or moment to talk to a coworker. One had an unapproachable dry attitude about them and just made it dreadful to work with them.
