Co-workers are okay for the most part, but supervisors are garbage. Supervisors hide all day, bully employees, and try their hardest to prevent employees that go above and beyond from getting a raise or advance positions within the company. Management finds ways to not give employees time off unless you use ETO by only allowing a max of 5 people off per day (no matter the dept. or position). Paid 10m breaks and 20m lunch. I worked here as a Test Technician for 10 years. I saw this company go from a place I wanted to retire from to a place I couldn't wait to get out of. From about the 2nd week I worked there until today manufacturing was on mandatory OT, we worked every single Saturday with few exceptions for 3 years straight. You have to use your PTO to get a full weekend off, and that's if they even let you use their PTO. Benefits are pretty standard as mostly everywhere else. There is literally ZERO communication in this company. Nothing gets accomplished and you're stuck in this same terrible loop forever because management refuses to listen to the floor and because of that people on the floor have stopped talking. The Plant Manager tries to run the company with 1950's management techniques that run the gamut from merely offensive to potentially illegal. The high school gossip that runs rampant along the floor is the only communication anyone receives about important issues. I put my blood sweat and tears into this company, was finally put in for a promotion and the raise they offered me was OFFENSIVE. Good: They will hold out for good people. They allow you to do your job. They encourage small teams mentality with flexibility to make decisions If you enjoy what you do and you like to do good work, you'll do great. Lot's of talented people there. Not so good: Compensation is pretty locked down with only small increased even for the top performers - Advice is to start out as high as you can, because it's going to take you a while to accumulate significant pay raises. Over emphasis on management cronyism. Advancement is rare, and when it happens it's usually within the 'good ol' boy' network. And even then, lots of management bickering (who's got the biggest pants). I got laid off because the downturn in business from covid-19. Prior to covid the environment was very fast pace and lots of procedures to follow. Lot's of emphasis on quality, production rates and safety, but the people were really helpful in getting to know your job. The job is overwhelming at first with alot of details to pay attention too and entering data into a computer, but it gets easier once you have been doing it for awhile. For the most part the people were pretty easy going, but you work as a team. So it was important you are doing your part correctly. Otherwise it was good.
