The management team before this had a vision and morals and treated us with respect. Those things left with them.
|
What do you get when you mix a CEO with no operations experience and his chosen replacement, who can’t stop talking about herself, makes her own rules and tries to destroy anyone who stands up to her? A company that is imploding.
The CEO announced in our Town Hall that if we don’t like it here, we can leave. Unfortunately this company has such a bad reputation that it taints anyone trying to get out.
Trust? Respect? Teamwork? Strategy? Accountability? Equality? Honesty? Values?
If any of these things are important to you, RUN!

Micro Management to the Nth Degree

Pay is good, benefits are good
|
There’s micro management, but then there’s conversely no management. People are so busy, doing so many jobs, it’s ridiculous. Poor, short term, cheap decisions are made that negatively impacts the business, with no long term strategic goal. When technology decisions are made, it’s by people who aren’t familiar with technology. Including some (not all) in IT.

Lack of communication from management. IF you happen to get a salary increase, it's only between 1-3%. It doesn't cover cost of living increases. Good ol boy mentality. Most information comes through the grape vine.

Work life balance. Co workers and managers are nice.
|
Little to no training. Training is learn as you go. Managers share Info when the plan isn’t ready to be executed yet. They treat the older tenured guys with 30+ years on the job with favoritism. They may even lack responsibilities and won’t fire them when unproductive or making mistakes.

Lawyers Running a Company?

Are there any pros at all? Honestly, No.
|
It says to share a downside about working here but I’m not sure how much space I’m allowed. This place is crumbling, so much so, I’m not sure how it’s even functioning at this point. The head of legal is rude and an absolute terror to work with. Can I call the ethics hotline on her? The ceo has his head so far up the branches behind that he is oblivious to things happening at corporate. He “trusted” legal to take over and the only thing he should have trusted her with was to run it to the ground.
