They allow me to change the delivery routes if I see a better more practical way to do so.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unhooking someone else’s truck from a trailer that was assigned to my load and route so that I can hook to it.

It is a good and friendly place to work.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
After securing the load be able to leave the yard on time to be at my first delivery on time and that all of the other stops do not have any delays.

Fun workplace, lots to do makes the time go fast.

Employer treats employees to meals constantly to show appointment. They give you all equipment needed including shoes. Nice working environment. Like everywhere you also have you slow people that don’t pull their weight, for the most part tolerable.

Great hours even overtime if wanted.

No weekends good people to work with

Working 50-55 hours a week and terrible routing

Employees are not happy! Management changes about 1-2 years!

Long hours! Never know what time you will be getting off until the morning of! Can not make family plans during the week! Never know when work will be done!

Management is the weak point of this company
|
Show up at 6. Argue with loaders about stop positioning and weight limits on the axles. Strap and leave.
Average runs are 12 hours, most of the time the loads are over weight or unbalanced. Current management is sub par, the hourly crew ran this location for 4 months with only a warehouse manager and it went smoothly. New management showed up and it's a case of work place bullying and who can pucker up the hardest is who gets the best runs. The place could be a great place too work but thru 3 operation managers it has failed time and again.

This is a union yard. Local flatbed and home daily. Supervisor is really good, above him seems like they don't care about anything we do until it's a mistake. Over all it's a good job with enough hours. Pay could be better...

A growing culture was ruined
|
The company was on the right track about a year ago. Working conditions, wages and company culture was improving. Employees were being hired for the first time in a while. Then the selling price of construction materials started falling so all the big leaders that were helping people were let go. The company lawyer became the new CEO and cut every dime of spending. They finished the year with hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of employees who hate it there again.

Don't work here. Unless you enjoy being talked down to on a regular basis. They use your vacation days if you need to call out. They talk badly to you and curse you out for simply asking a question.
