Working for CBL is just okay.

While I loved what I did, I never felt fully appreciated and I wasn’t adequately compensated for all of the demands and stress. I was often asked about other coworker’s character, which wasn’t conducive toward a team atmosphere.

Exciting positions - Can Grow - Poor Communication to the Field

Too top heavy. Too many VP's and not enough decision makers. Communication is poor to the field. Could save money by reducing the high paid, non-decision makers who have contributed nothing to the properties. Need to trust the field employees who are based at the locations rather than make decisions for properties they are not clearly familiar with on a day to day basis. Great company CEO. He is involved with getting to know everyone who works for CBL.

Amazing place to work and really dont have anything negative to say. Hard to move up when you start at a lower level, but the pay is still very good for that "bottom" role. Great starting PTO & bank options.

Minimal pay with raises that are a joke, good-ole girl and boy network, management can't defend you for fear of losing their jobs. Something called "Ethics Point" that takes complaints from employees about other employees and never investigates them to see if they are true or overly fabricated and exaggerated. The only follow up is a "Final Written Warning". You are at the mercy of a "secret society" that determines your working career fate. Not a healthy work environment.

Typical day-to-day mall management duties. Unfortunately, the shopping center industry fell victim to the economy in 2009 and I was downsized. At least I received a decent severance package!
