Citizens is very inclusive and diverse. This is probably the only positive I experienced during my time there.

Awful pay. Could not survive on my salary and had to work 3 additional jobs. Raise at annual review time was less than $1.00. Poor management in certain areas of the bank. Micromanaged, poor training resources, not properly paid for the level and amount of work expected. No additional compensation for cross trained vs non-cross trained employees. Special/un-equal treatment shown to co-workers who were friends with managers. Salary budgets within departments are extremely low and unfair. Extremely political company. Need to "play the game" to have any opportunities.

Your location can also play a huge part in how much you’re able to make. Much harder to sell a HELOC for example if you’re in a neighborhood where there aren’t home owner.

Sr. Leadership states they want to retain top talent but when they make poor business decisions they layoff older employees with high salaries even if they are a high performer. They believe they can replace with younger less experienced talent and save on salary/overall compensation.
