-Work from home, somewhat flexible schedule
-Meaningful work helping people
-Not sure if this is more a pro or con, but they were not quick to fire people who were bad at their jobs. Take that as you will.
|
-Consistently prioritize productivity metrics over quality even at the expense of population meant to be helped (i.e. rewarded doing a quick job over a good one at the expense of vulnerable people).
-They hire teams as full-time contractors to avoid accountability & providing benefits.
-Health insurance plan offered falls into “catastrophic” category (that’s the actual term) meaning you’d pay in monthly for almost no coverage, but because they technically offer one it makes you ineligible for most marketplace plans. Lose-lose.
-Told team to apply for a RFT position when team members started leaving for better jobs, but then just strung everyone along for 6 months saying we’d hear back “next week.”
-Told existing employees they couldn’t offer raises to keep up with inflation, but hired new employees on at higher “market rate” due to inflation.
-Laid team off with <1 week notice after explicitly promising everyone would be transferred to new projects. Discouraged people being let go from applying for unemployment by implying they were ineligible (mostly false).
