They intentionally stunt field technician/driver ability to earn wages
|
If you get hired on as a field technician, expect management to paint a rosy picture of how much money you’ll make then gradually reduce your hours so that a lot of times you only get called in to work three days a week with no way to make up those hours. Then, management again stunts your opportunities by claiming there is some unknown hiccup with your paperwork when you apply to be eligible to work at other sites with no help from them on how you can resolve the issue.

Definitely could’ve been a better experience but sadly it wasn’t.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Transporting 55 gallon barrels full of hazardous waste weighing up to average of 350-400 pounds for the amount of pay is definitely unfair and you most be in great physical shape to take on this type of career
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
My experience was uncomfortable and always walking on eggshells but of course everyone else experience might be different
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Early morning start so you can get a good head start on your day that way you’re off at a decent time if you start late then definitely expect a much more longer day etc…

They burn you out fast extreme hours they need to improve base pay and management
|
A typical day is hard work but the problem is is that they give you so much overtime which sounds good on the face of it you burn out they’re completely understaffed chronically so people have to work 10 times harder and they burn out the base pay for the job it’s not worth it because of inflation since the pandemic management is atrocious they don’t solve problems. They are part of the workplace culture of problems are not solutions based the hardest part of the job is the extreme hours and the extreme physical labor involved with a high rate of injuries on the job it’s dangerous.

Overworked, you will be expected to jobs you aren't trained for

Your days will never be consistent. One day you will work an easy and boring day while the rest brings several days after days of trying to achieve management expectations even though management hasn't been to a job and worked at said job in years. You will learn how to be compliant with the dept of Agriculture and DOT, but otherwise anything learned here will immediately be disregarded in other fields.

Extremely low wage offer. They call it a probationary wage through the union. What they’re really doing is hiring cheap labor for a shutdown project. Class 3 operators shouldn’t be insulted with a $26 /hour probationary wage that they can keep in place as long as they deem.
