Poor management-Learn your job well because trust me, your boss doesn't know how to do it and you'll likely be the only one who can so kiss vacations goodbye or if you plan one, bring the laptop because they'll expect you to work despite being on PTO. They stretch the employees too thin and expect them to do multiple jobs at once without an increase in salary; so expect stress and less money.

The leaders truly care about and value employees. There is a lot of focus on company culture and providing frequent feedback, which fosters a strong teamwork environment. Work/life balance and flexibility has really improved since I first started working here.
|
Still some individuals with a very traditional mindset - although this has improved tremendously with some of the leadership changes. There's always room to continue improving flexibility. The company could do better at celebrating wins - more employee engagement/activities.

pretty easy going work environment, good culture, great benefits

very low pay for the industry and incredibly hard to earn more if you are not a revenue generator or asset manager. if you are a support function you are seen as a non essential and are treated as such.

improve the pay to the industry average for support roles. yes the company loves to boast their low BOE cost, but if you cant retain top talent what does it matter. its not like your G&A expense is high anyways and especially compared to your industry peers. You usually have people doing the job of three people and getting paid for the job of one.
