nyse:cpe www.callon.com recruiting.paylocity.com Oct 7th, 2019 12:00AM Lease Operator Open Midland, TX Midland TX USA Sep 24th, 2019 12:00AM Apply Description Founded in 1950, Callon Petroleum Company is an independent oil and natural gas company focused on growing production and reserves from our oil-weighted, multi-play, multi-pay assets in the Permian Basin.  Callon Petroleum is currently accepting resumes for a Lease Operator position based in the Midland, TX (Pyote, TX) office.  Callon Petroleum Company offers competitive pay, paid time off, paid holidays along with a benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.Position Description:•   Gauge production on assigned wells and report gauge readings, downtime and other pertinent well information. •   Perform lease maintenance such as minor surface pump and production equipment repairs and adjustments.•   Note problems and/or recommend course of actions to supervisor in order to decrease costs and increase production. •   Assist in witnessing meter calibrations; monitor rates and pressures on injection and disposal wells; make necessary adjustments; monitor chemical use; and test safety systems daily to maximize daily production. •   Perform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all wells and leases for which the pumper is responsible. •   Must be self-motivated, strong ethics, ability to work with minimum supervision, have reliable attendance and demonstrate flexible cooperative behavior in the workplace •   Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position Requirements •   High school diploma or equivalent. •   Meet and maintain eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle. •   Satisfactory background check and drug screen. •   Working knowledge of safe oil and gas production operations. •   Must be able to perform simple mathematic calculations, have a good mechanical aptitude, good writing skills and a good safety and driving record. •   Dependable and have ability to work overtime, if necessary. •   Proficient utilization of Microsoft Office•   Awareness of cost metrics and analysis•   Basic knowledge of downhole operations, failure analysis, best practices•   Working knowledge of facility construction practices and standards•   Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills•   Demonstrate leadership abilities; takes initiative on team tasks •   Have an interest in gaining knowledge of engineering principles and an understanding of subsurface and surface equipment and operations. •   Must be able to work in the United States without the assistance of sponsorship.•   Be able to meet the physical requirements of the position•   Must be able to work in the United States without the assistance of sponsorship. Callon Petroleum Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
