Company was run right into the ground by leaders who are not capable of leading. Mohawk should have never bought it, CEO had no idea what he was doing. Anyone in charge was a carbon copy of him, he ran Mohawk into bankruptcy as well. Many employees have worked there a long time and like to see new team members succeed. Management is attentive if you are good at advocating for your needs. There is a lot of inconsistency between what you learn in training and what you are taught from your supervisor. Its important that you take your training videos seriously to actually have a clear knowledge on how to properly work the system. A lot of supervisors dont understand basic vocabulary lime a promissory note. Typographer North Adams, MA This Branch is Closing, So This May No Longer Be Applicable Good benefits, plenty of opportunities for overtime during the Christmas season, friendly coworkers, patient instructors, and opportunities to move to other departments. I mostly enjoyed my time here. Lack of communication was always our biggest issue, especially when big changes were being made it seemed like we were always the last to know. This often led to lots of speculation and unnecessary stress for employees. Additionally, we would accept literally any form of communication from the customer no matter how illegible, our dept. was always expected to decipher it as best we could and when we inevitably got something wrong, we would bend over backwards to please them, no matter how rude they were. Additionally, while there were plenty of opportunities for overtime, during the busy seasons the company often demanded too much of the employees. Was a good Company when the Crane family ran the business. Last year the company was sold to CRANE CO (no relation to Crane & Company) and things have gotten really bad. Moral is low and employees are retiring early and leaving due to very bad management. The site leader has no experience in paper making and is only concerned about pleasing corporate. Machinery is in need of upgrades and all corporate does is spend money on paint and propaganda posters. People like me have less than 2 years to retirement and we have to stay.
