Holidays were okay but hectic and stressful at times. Seems it was either extremely slow or super busy. Very few co workers were friendly. Most were stuck up and snotty. The pay was as you’d expect terrible. The store closed down so I can’t say much about it now. When new shipment came in would be in the back scanning everything out to make sure of accuracy count. I’ve worked as LP for 4 years and i can honestly say I’ve never felt stressed from the work. The work is easy and i’ve had friendly coworkers which make the job that much easier. If you can deal with standing for long hours a day and not having things to do at some points then this job is a must. Management: The hardest downfall. Many staff members of high seniority are leaving the location (10+ years) due to the lack of good management. The current management has only 1 year of previous management experience and on site her experience isn't operational for a high functional store. District is no help, every complaint given to the DM from poc was ignored and dismissed. The hardest part of the job: No compassion or good morale for staff members from higher management. Workplace Culture: Not inclusive to all. Workers with disabilities and poc are constantly receiving negative feedback from employer on speed and their loyalty to the company. Most Enjoyable: Customers and the good energy the children bring into the store. Carters is only different from other Distribution Centers because it's medical is slightly better. Otherwise it's the dame old same old, long hours managed by people who are not quite sure how to manage, but succeed to queeze the last drop out of their employees.... What is the most stressful part about working at the company? People skills - seriously lacking in management, safety management in particular. They don't support you. HR exists strictly to enforce company policy like every other HR department. Human Resources = Squeeze every last ounce of blood from the peasants.... What is the work environment and culture like at the company? I had good friends there. We worked hard as that was our nature. There were workes who didn't work hard and were equally rewarded. That can be frustrating. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Long and repetitive.
