Reasonable pay and excellent medical and dental insurance. There is not much micro management in the department. Due to a very robust drilling program and very conservative budget for administrative costs, the company does not over hire and therefore there is little opportunity for layoffs.

Very limited benefits aside from medical or dental care. Management is very top down and there is very little growth opportunity. Company culture is not desirable.

Great people, very strange company to work for.

Comstock Resources has the resources to become a growing company. Many of the people are very talented, but after selling the Permian, needs to find a niche in the emerging shale boom.
|
I do not know of any downside to working at this company. The leadership team is very focused and if there is anything negative to say, it would be the communication is at times very limited. I enjoyed my time there.

Focus on the prize, it is easy to get lost in the moment of making a buck or shifting money to here or there, the business is a long term goal, it doesn't happen overnight. Selling the Permian was a big mistake.
