The upper management is great but lack of communication with lower management
|
The pay and benefits are good but they act like this is not a call center but it very much is. My manager has been gone more than in and communication is hard. The only good thing is the upper management. The customer gets confused because we are not the insurance company and they ALWAYS think we are. This job is good for some people and not for others. This is at the whim of the direct supervisors so be prepared to kiss some butt if you wanna move up.

In all honesty, Castlight has been the best company I've worked for. Caring team members - even my manager. I do wish the pay was more competitive, however, there's room for growth if one is willing to put in the work.

Good Company Overall but Still Figuring Itself Out

Started out in Charlotte office with great potential for growth. Was able to grow and advance. Professional development opportunities are always present.
Work culture was open and diverse. Hardest part of working at this company is the internal disorganization.
Charlotte office closed in 2019 putting a lot of people out of work. Though a decent severance package was offered.
Flow of information between department and from upper to middle management can be scrambled at times.
Basic foundational processes and efficient working principles are not put in place and enforced by executives.

Looks good on the outside, not so good after employed

I didnt work at Castlight for long. However, I learned a lot while I was there. I learned that the company had a "we are a family" structure. However, if you had a personal emergency or family problem and had to leave suddenly, you were punished. The management kept their thumbs on you. The work was very sporadic. Sometimes it was crazy busy, and other times, it was dead. We were scheduled for working during certain holidays that the rest of the company was scheduled off for. So we were the only team in the office working. It was very frustrating... Also, passed enhancement requests from various customers as well as myself to upper management for implementation. Felt like most of the time, those requests were disregarded...
