I don't recommend anyone to work for this corporation. You Work long hours in the heat with no breaks. When you do a great job, your not acknowledge at all. Only minor mistakes are acknowledged. Management is a joke. Pay is horrible, and you will not work many hours. Don't waste your time working with this corporation. Keep looking...

What is the best part of working at the company?
The company has a non-toxic sales ideology that is great to find and work with.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The Cloverdale location in Boise (the only Carriage sales manager position there) was stressful because the GM refused to allow changes to personnel, policies or procedures. In essence, the old guy hoped for better numbers while doing the same old things that have caused the last seven years of declining sales.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The company culture is good over-all, but the location culture at Cloverdale needs to be hit with napalm and restarted from the ground up. It's cliquey with the old-school mangement team that's been there while it's been failing. Newbies are shunned and ostrasized.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Tiptoeing through the miasma of the emotions of people who refuse to change.

Carriage is probably an alright place to work if you aren’t an existing employee at the companies they take over. They’re a stereotypical management company that flips established funeral homes, guts departments and staff members to save a buck, and then rehires for a vaguely similar position with combined duties and less pay.
Their morals are questionable at best, and downright unethical and corrupt at worst.
Carriage is the managing partner where ambition and reputations go to die.

I honestly can’t think of anything. Decent group rates for healthcare, maybe?

Very poor management

In my opinion, a typical day at work was often disorganized and lacked clear communication. I struggled to find opportunities for learning and growth in the role. Management seemed detached and unresponsive to employee concerns. The workplace culture felt uninspiring, with minimal collaboration and team spirit.
The hardest part of the job was navigating through unclear expectations and inconsistent support from management. The lack of a positive work environment made it challenging to stay motivated.
On a more positive note, the most enjoyable part of the job was occasional camaraderie with colleagues, but unfortunately, it didn't compensate for the overall negative experience.

Management was lazy, put all work on everyone else - but took credit himself- long hours never compensated, threw his employees under the bus to make himself look good…. Never stood behind employees… hopefully once they got rid of manager they will be better
