In my humble opinion, anyone thinking of applying is likely to have a more rewarding career at McDonald's.
|
It appears that they may jack up the hourly wages on account of overtime laws and how the pay week works. You will likely work 84 hours that week, however that overtime breakdown from my experience will look more like 76 hours of regular time, and 8 hours of overtime. SO, I am no mathematician, however my calculations show that IF the overtime pay more accurately reflected >40 hours, a $28 hr wage would actually be around $23/hr. (28x76=2128, +8x42=336) =2464. (23x40=920 + 34.5x44 = 1,518) = 2,438. One can only guess the reasonings in such a competitive job market.
From my observations, you may or may not be paid your monetary benefits in lieu of insurance at the 3 month mark.
All communications with management and other departments are dealt with in the most extraordinarily respectful, courteous, and tactful manner that you will wonder if you accidentally signed up for the military.

There was nothing for me

I was working full time then signed a new work contract with Civeo, so I resigned from my full time job. 2 days before the start date stated on the contract, Civeo simply sent me an email saying: the position is no longer needed. And suddenly I became unemployed for doing nothing (Service Canada approved my EI Application). Cannot believe Civeo as a billion dollar company can do things like this, they never bothered to say SORRY.
