Nice company. Very flat organizational structure so only horizontal promotions can be expected. Typically American so be positive, work hard, and don't stick you head out for anybody else least you go down with them. No unions

Challenging but you learn a lot
|
I’ve been at Dell for almost 2 years now. Started off in the Sales Academy, was in a DGR role, and now I’m an Account Manager. It’s a stressful job and they move you around a lot to different teams. Good opportunity to break into tech sales though, since there’s a lot to learn.

Good Benefits, Nice Place to Work Depending on Team

I worked with a great team and manager, so I had a pretty good 12 years there, but it's not like that throughout the company. Can sometimes overwork a team when people leave and they do not refill positions. Upper management not always aware of what their people do and make decisions that don't make sense.

Friendly environment with good people. Really good benefit and employee support group and resources. The management has gone bad in recent years. Dell is trying to increase the efficiency but not focus on the right areas.
