What happened to this company

The company has been good to its e employees through the years. It’s a fair paying employer in the region.
|
The transition to the new owner has been hard on current employees. All the great leaders left or have been pushed out. The cost-cutting measures should be a red flag. The things you now see feel like the standards and conduct of another work culture. The company is not doing well.

Cost cutting is concerning

EPE has always been one of the best employers in the El Paso region. After the recent acquisition, there has been lots of cost cutting measures "to benefit customers". However, everyone including employees, family, friends, and neighbors are all customers and there have been no clear benefits or lower costs. This raises concerns that employees will be negatively affected, to benefit the investment fund. This is very clear in the stagnant salaries and below average pay for similar roles. There are many valuable people leaving the company due to more competitive wages.
