They will fire you for no reason, even when you give your all.. it will never be good enough. If you want to end up hating your job, go ahead and work here. But hey.. the pay is .......alright... but not worth this head ache... I have never been at a company where they blame the employees for everything wrong with the company and its performance ,without putting the real emphasis on the machines and the crazy numbers they want you to run . And then even when u do your best... its not enough. It's will never be enough for them. Your machine will likely be set to run, and you'll need to verify the specifications of your products and have your paperwork in order. There will be two breaks and a lunch over the course of twelve hours. It's physically demanding and takes a lot out of you, even with a rotating schedule you will find it difficult to recover fully. That is the basic idea. Specifically, you have to sort and clean lead plates full of paste and they will vary in quality according to the care put in to their creation, which is middling at best. This needs to be done rapidly because you will run two machines and need to keep up to the tune of about 120 plates per minute split between two types of plates, with each stack weighing twenty pounds, but this can vary with different plate types. This process involves a lot of hand strength and it will hurt for some time. Your machines and the machines throughout the line work on one leg, so they don't run as much as they hop. The maintenence team is there for a quick fix generally, they cannot make garbage not be what it is. Management for my area is really nonexistent. You will not see them for more than a couple minutes in a week. It's a lottery as far as what you get. That's the number I drew. Zero. To be fair, they are spread thin, so it comes with the territory. You can rely on half the coworkers you meet to help you consistently, and you had better, because they run the place, not the managers. It's the Wild West. There are a lack of standards, accountability, and general care/pride. But there is a silver lining: The pay and benefits are through the roof. In the end, that's what a job is for, so if you can take punishment up to and past your limit you will get used to the dysfunction. I literally received a catty email from my supervisor (right before I resigned ) that broke down each task into how many minutes it should take me. This was in response to my request for support when I was feeling overwhelmed.
