Horrible pay, horrible management
|
Management likes to get your hopes up and they act like they care, it's all a show. They say that they are competitive with other companies pay scale but they cut overtime. If you work overtime they want you to use it as comp time.The pay is awful, most of the pumpers make less than a teacher. No room for growth. It's all about being buddies with the boss and kissing his rear end. Watch what you tell other people, word gets back to the supervisors fast.

Pro-avctive HSE department and flexible time was available. Drilling operations seem to take the lead on HSE issues.

HSE was practiced throughout operations. Plenty of flexible time off. Great staff and willing to help out on certain projects. The safety cultured was certainly practice in the drilling operations. Most incidents was a team effort and supported by the drilling management and engineers. All corrective actions was applied and followed up by site management. Best part of job was traveling throughout the US. Workplace culture was practiced and supported by management. The hardest part was setting through to many meetings. Dislikes included to many managers and not everyone shared the HSE cultured. Typical day included attending meetings, safety meetings, conducting incident investigations.

My time with EP was short but I enjoyed working there. Ep is a very safety oriented company and it was at the hear of all their policies.

Decent job to work. When oil prices fell, they cut everything. They had a lot of layoffs. They cut a lot of foundation programs.
Management was very hard to deal with.
The culture was decent, but you had to be in the boss favorite group.
The like to start the day early, but they also like to end the day in a reasonable time.

Management change
|
After a complete overhaul of upper management, vacation, work structure and more, people want to leave and are hoping for a package. Management now wants teams to alternate the number of days in the office so that everybody can share desk space. There is unlimited vacation, which means the hard workers will be dumped on the ones who play the game will enjoy LOTS of vacation days. I feel bad for the hard workers because they will be slammed with work, not recognized and underpaid. It used to be a good company to work for.
