Outstanding benefits. Eversource has been an excellent company to work for over the years. As tech has advanced, niche roles have opened up advancement opportunity. Management rewards effort. The business model is vast, which can be overwhelming at times, but there are many paths to take in the company. There are many senior employees with 30+ years of experience to lean on for advice and support. As they retire positions are constantly opening career paths. Salary employees well compensated. Hourly employees can work OT often if needed. Company sponsored events are few yet there are many chances to volunteer in the community. Work remotely, if needed, technology. Trustworthy management. It never used to be bad. The way employees are treated by customers and "supervision" is, for a lack of a better term, mentally abusive. Luckily the benefits help pay for medication and therapy. You WILL be monitored, even in how you use the restroom. If you are lucky enough, they will come into the bathroom looking for you. If you have any family, do not work here. They will tell you that you better have other options for emergency day care. They will tell you thirty minutes before your shift ends that you MUST stay, they will not tell you for how long, and threaten your job if you need to get home for your children. There is no room for advancement unless your lips are glued to managements rear end. If you get an opportunity to interview for another position within the company, you will be rejected but never notified and will get no feedback. The entire building in Windsor is looked at as a joke because of the managers in place and the supervisors they hired. Do NOT work here if you value yourself, your mental health, your family, and your VALUES! I actually met newly hired resources that would resign after their first few days of working here. In all my experiences in my professional career, I have never heard so many resources state "I have never worked somewhere so disorganized/poorly managed" (we worked in the IT dept). My manager quit, my lead quit, other teams leads were fired. I have worked in companies with political cultures, but one where everyone is confused and no one is happy is not a great place to work.
