I loved my job here! My team was awesome and my manager was always there to help. I constantly felt supported and welcome. I also felt that the company truly cares. I left due to relocation but will miss it! Essex is really great.

Working for them as a maintenance technician was so misleading, your promised incentives and bonuses based on performance yet when you produce and do the things they ask not a single pat on back or recognition, also raises are the most ridiculous thing, work here if you want a max of 50 cents no thank you, supervisor and coworkers would often leave early, making work load heavy for the newer hires, I don’t recommend this company at all if you are pursuing a maintenance position

Very well organized

This company is on the up and up. Very stable. Clear path for advancement. Good benefits. I did not experience or witness a great deal of upward training for anyone around me. Good on teaching company policies / basics. But if you really want to become great at what you do, it’s mostly learn as you go / self train.

They expect you to be available on your lunch break or days off
|
Management at my location was by far the biggest micromanager. Sticking there opinion where it wasn’t necessary and had no clue about doing maintenance. Staff will send you text messages and will call you during your lunch break and expect you to be ok with it. This place is the kind that the more you give them the more they want! They won’t reimburse you for your own tools that break on the job. Every Wednesday they have a useless meeting in the morning that has no structure or anything that’s useful for work.

I loved my time being an employee of this company. They gave me a chance to shine and got paid well. Lots of learning experience within the sphere of Development of multi family apartment homes. They are a company that wants to see you grow and elevate in the company . I was promoted within six months from the time I started. The culture is great and opportunity are endless. What is the best part of working at the company?
You get to work with fun and friendly colleges. Plus, the manager is great if you are able to be on her team. Also, the pay is great with fantastic commissions and the benefits as well. You get Juneteenth off and other such holidays. Also, it's a very fun place to work, with everyone so energized!
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Making sure to everything is really perfect, meaning with little to no errors.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly, fun, and energetic. The company and your colleges are all very supportive of each other and want to see you succeed.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Coming into the office greeting happy coworkers and making sure to update listings, follow up on any messages from clients from the previous day, following up on any calls from the previous day and reaching out to clients and making sure those who are touring the property are able to enter the unit and making sure their tour was great. Also, making sure to know as much as possible about the property. On top of that, making sure to screen tenants and upload their income statement, ID, and other important docs into the computer. Also, making sure that once they move in the united is updated in the system to make sure it's rented out.
