Descent pay and benefits. Easy work. Most first line supervisors are great.

Upper management is a joke. Everybody is treated like a number. Total disconnection between HR, upper management and the workers in the plant. They’re running the place to failure. Not fixing anything unless they absolutely have to.

1:You have to spend money to make money. 2:While the plant is being run into the ground, you are putting 400+ employees life’s on the line.

Original facility was built in the 70s to manufacture photographic chemical during Eastman Kodak dominance. The facility became a specialty chemical manufacturer where some of the best chemistry was practiced. A large number of highly skilled professional people became part of this small facility.

Heavy-handed management style where focus is profit driven only. Many of the people who started this company are retiring or leaving. It will be interesting to see if their success is short-lived or legitimate.

This company is really world class. They are focused on doing the right things with many very capable people. Was there for about 10 years and I sort of hated to leave.
|
The biggest problem that I saw was that there was very little opportunity to advance in the company. If you hired in at the bottom of the organization, you could pretty well count on staying there regardless of qualifications or performance.
