-Was laid off without cause Aug 2023 (decent severance package tho)
-Seems like a lot of $ went into the new downtown Toronto office space and alot of employees were on the receiving end of this huge shift in capital prioritization.

The culture, while working in person, was overall good. Unlike like a lot of other fashion companies in Toronto, people are friendly and there's no expectation to work late.
It would be great a first job out of school to get corporate experience, and didn't seem too difficult to get promoted.

I worked there pre-layoffs and it was so clear by the beginning they had hired too many people.
While the culture was good, there was a weird expectation to be "online" the whole day. While working remotely, people would notify their team if they were going to re-start their computer or make tea. Like it's one thing if you're leaving for lunch, but I found it very odd that you had to let people know if you'd be away from your computer for 5 mins.
There were so many unnecessary meetings. All team meetings that had way too many people in them. Too often we tried to work as a group, and it was not efficient. It would be have been much better streamline some meetings and communication.
It seemed like there were a number of processes that were inefficient, but it was hard to make change. Too many layers of management and cross functional teams.
