If you have no other option

1)Beat out of overtime.. when you get laid in. 2) it’s at will employment… no union protection. 3) under staffing 4) getting all the repair parts you need are impossible. You are legally responsible for the safety of railroad crossing and vital components ( CPU cards RYI cards that are vital to the crossing safety are not ordered or got in for years in some cases even with the eyes of the FRA ( federal railroad Administration) looking at there operation so if they don’t listen to them, what’s the chance them listening to you .. but if God forbid something happen the maintainer | supervisor will take the hit and being at will fired. Seen it happen.
