What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay was ok. I was adequately equipped.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Even as a salaried professional, everything was quota-driven by managers who did not understand the nature of the work.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
As I said, quota-driven. Quantity with little understanding of what quality might be.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Show up at dawn, do 10 hrs of grunt work, and then a couple of hours of bean counting to allow the bosses to count beans.

Hudbay has changed so much in the last 10 years. Liars & scammers, the management cannot be trusted unless you are related to one of them. Production is all that matters to them now. We have a profit sharing, 3 years ...no profit just good book keepers!

Good place to work if all you want is money.

Layoff coming in July, employees are only a number, production is what is important. They preach a lot of safety but don't practice it.

Worked for 41 years at Hudbay formally known as HBM&S. Was able to support my family which I appreciate whole heartedly. Wanted to come back and train the younger workforce in longhole drilling but wasn’t given the opportunity. So very disappointed

Place keeps you busy. Good people to work with. Safety oriented. Small town where I’m located and everyone looks after each other. Stay in a camp as well.

Great place to work. Just show up and do your job not Much else is expected. Lots of variety of equipment to work on and get experience from.

Good Place to Work. No much incentive to better yourself here though. Wages are ok, but they are willing to pay a lot more as contract workers make close to double the wages.

Profit Sharing is awesome when you get some, 10 yrs ago we got $30k in one year!
