Petty and catty work environment. Too much middle management and they aren't unified. Being forced to be on call was not a good surprise they sprung on me once I was hired. CEO is not great.

Decent pay Overtly nice management Beautiful office with snacks provided

Training is absolutely horrendous. It consists of 1 two hour meeting where you get a general overview of how to perform the job with no specifics. Then, after that you're put on the phone with no concept of how to find the information necessary to perform your job (its all on sharepoint, duh). The database they use for keeping their info is clunky and information is not complete. The internal system they use is archaic. People cannot pay their bill online, you have to stage documents yourself etc.

Don't hire people for a remote midday shift and then expect them to commute to your office (in Tampa!) first thing in the morning. There are some who get up at the crack of dawn to be at your company, but I bet that's the shift they were hired for!

Nice facilities, recently remodeled building. Plenty of parking space. Great security which is important.

No portal access for agents and customers to make payments, not even an option to make payments using your phone keypad. A rep will spend his day taking payments. This can be annoying after a few weeks so someone with a 220 license will find this boring and tedious. Agents cannot make any changes, endorsements, quotes, nothing! So you must speak to someone for something as simple as viewing a wind mitigation credit or certain discounts. Expect agents to complain about this! Many would laugh at the limited amount of information available to them in the system. Expect a large volume of calls since agents have limited access to data. Improve training! You only have one trainer, this can be frustrating since you are given some stuff to read and a questionaire and wallah you are ready to go. Training is slow and painful so you will feel like a switchboard operator transfering calls so others can answer questions that you are not allowed to answer. I felt like too many chiefs micromanaging a few indians.

Redo your entire training system, it is painful and archaic, the trainer is so busy she may answer your email a day later. Invest in technology. Agents need to have access to policy information on your platform so they don't have to call for every little piece of information, make more payment options available to policyholders so reps won't spent their day taking payments instead of processing work. For some reason it felt like a very tense environment, co-workers were afraid to talk.
