Hanger is the largest orthotics and prosthetics company in the nation, However only a finite amount of people generate revenue in the company and prices are set by insurance, because of this volume is the only way to maintain profitability and increase growth. Volume = Larger patient load and lower quality of work = stressed out clinicians. This is an ill run corporate environment and the tech positions will soon be eliminated with the rapid advancement of 3d printing.

Management doesnât know what theyâre doing
|
Service center manager couldnât make a decision without running it by his boss. Raises were a joke, most I ever received was 0.35 cents, they call it cost of living increase. They will hire you for a certain job and then add two more jobs to you. Would never recommend this place to work. I worked here for 12 1/2 years.

Horrible Management
|
I worked for this company for a year and a half through covid. When I started with the company, the office was a complete disaster with back work up to 2 years old. I devoted my time and energy to make the office run normally and up to date. I worked through the entire time frame to earn the 3000 dollar covid relief bonus. In March something terrible happened to my family which left my daughter with some mental health issues. Hanger was REQUIRING me to be in office 5 days a week for 9 hours a day and gave me "smart remarks" if I needed time off. On August 30th I had decided that my daughters well being was more important than my job and I left the company. The company is now saying that I didnt "earn" the bonus because I left the company 8 months after the time frame I worked to get the bonus. I feel they are doing this as a form of retaliation for leaving their company. I am very displeased with Hanger and how they treat their employees.

Productive workplace provides experience but professional deceit

I'd gone through a few job interviews with Hanger that lasted well over half an hour. That led me to believe the job was promising. My medical experience was reviewed. Benefits and pay rate was discussed and I was in. Once hired, little to no training was attempted from superiors. A few months had gone by at one point and the discussion of benefits were bypassed. Coworkers were advising me not to believe in the fantasy of my benefits activating after "probation period". Hanger is a nice place to work for but might be an easier place to leave given my experience.

Toxic environment!!!

The environment is toxic! Management does not address the personal harassment. The work load is overwhelming for the pay. The practitioner's have no respect for the Technicians and constantly jump schedule to get their patients in faster not realizing jumping schedule and rushing work out only turns into wasted time and money when the rush job doesn't turn out well
