Micro management from dept head, his way or the highway approach. lots of Employees that have been with company 20+ yrs have quit. This Portrays an uncertain future as average tenure decreases. Also, we never even had a simple department outing with the team paid by HIW, like just a lunch w team. Not even a lunch once a month with team, nothing. Ladies in my department only getting a 2% raise. I feel bad. She may not have an extravagant title, but works extremely hard and is a key player to our departments success and giving such a low raise really shows she is going unnoticed. As they preach diversity and inclusion? They may want to start recognizing the female workers! it’s obvious Employees are just not genuinely happy like they once were, Pre 2019. Yes happy to have a job. But that’s about it. I also suggest for the yearly Christmas dinner go to a place besides a golf range. Employees should be able to review their bosses. They review us annually, so we should be able to review their management as well. Because their bosses (in c-suite) only see that a project completed= $ “good job, pat on back” “here is your big April bonus “. Therefore, not seeing how they actually are treating their direct reports on a daily basis. If those csuite folks only knew about that particular Performance…I’m sure they would not be getting a big fat April bonus! But wait..I thought your motto is “your people are your greatest asset”hmm as I Scratch my head? Your 20+ yr employees that have left are not retiring like you think, they leave because they are just tired of the micromanagement and can easily find a new job elsewhere that pays much better. Have faith in your employees that they are capable of doing their jobs.
