Not the worst place to wok, but I didn't like the business model
|
The pay and benefits were very decent, but I never liked the business model (multilevel marketing). As a corporate employee, you obviously couldn't be part of the Herbalife Business, but I never felt comfortable contributing to enrolling people in a business model that, mathematically speaking, won't work for the vast majority.
I guess I never really bought the idea that we were "helping people live their best life". BS aside, we were working for a company that makes desperate people invest time and money in a business opportunity that will only make them lose their investment while the top of the pyramid gets wealthier in exchange for the blame of the idea that it was their fault because they simply didn't try hard enough.
Anyway, the moral is to only work for a company that you believe in.

There is no career path at this company. People are political and women leaders don't support other women - they focus on petty alliances vs. look at what is best for the company or how someone performs their job. Forget about promotions. Or market rate compensation.
