Working underground is very risky as safety is an issue in an underground mine. Harmony mine ensures that all the workers in the company abide by health, safety and environmental policy of the company. This is something that amazed me during my time working with the company. There are adequate monitoring systems in place to improve the safety condition of the mine, especially when working at a greater depth. I worked at 2700m underground and i felt like I was working on the surface because there is a good ventilation system to supply fresh air to underground mine workers. This among many others.
