What is the best part of working at the company?
Teamwork. Relationship with my clients. Always learning and growing.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
People calling asking about their refund and why they didn't get it or haven't gotten it yet. H&R Block staff don't work for the IRS and it gets stressful with the constant phonecalls about things that we have no control over.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Teamwork. We all work together and help each other.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Being the Office Manager and a Senior Tax Specialist, I am always busy. A lot of times, my office doesn't have a receptionist, so I tend to gave my hands full a lot.

System is rough to work with but the people are enjoyable. The system is bare bones and does not really make it easy to get things done. The upper management is not the best at helping and there is little actual training.

On the job training was poor. Not given enough training before taking on clients. Communication of what is expected of you was poor. Expected to answer phone calls while you are with a client.

Can be flexible with hours, starting pay is decent for new tax preparers
