Not the worst, not the best. A very average career
|
I've worked 7 different places in my career and I would rate this 3rd, so that's not too bad. The pay needs to be about 10-15% higher but other than that I can't complain.

I really didn't like this Job. It felt like a turn table. People come in and people go right back out.
|
I worked in shipping, making kits of various sizes to support the assemblers in the plant and also contractors outside of the plant in various states.
The kits ranged in size from a bag of bolts, to Equipment that had to be crated. No day was ever the same and you walked several miles every days looking for parts.
The hardest part was the lack of interest from management. They didnt care. You were just another new hire. There was an inhouse Union, but they arent recognized outside of the company

Interesting work, Supportive coworkers, usually a good feeling of accomplishment after every shift.

Low pay, Lots of hours, lots of Pay errors on my checks, I was forced into training new hires even as a new hire myself but for no extra money, lots of wasps all over the area

Not a bad company, the pay is good and coworkers become your family after working for 12 hours shift for so long.
Benefits suck and management always changing rules. But other than that, work environment is amazing, don’t expect to be clean all the time, you’ll get very dirty when is needed

this company is what it is if ur a hard worker and keep your head down and don't try and show off too much you will fit in. if your a go getter you may have issues with people who fear hard workers and try and push u under the rug if you show u are overly interested in growth.

Good benefits bad new employee and management communications.
|
Management and coworkers do not give new employees the information they need to be successful. No details we’re given as to what the actual roles and responsibilities and expectations are. I asked for information that I felt I needed to have as a new employee to understand what my department actually does but for some reason they wouldn’t provide me with it and eventually lead to being terminated from the company. Communication between management and new employees is very bad as well as coworkers.

it's not as friendly as it may seen. they love to look down on people. management does. nit care for the employyee.
does not matter how hard you work. they love to buy food on occasions. and they love to due write ups on eachither its encouraged.

Work started off good, but then we started losing work and management and supervision would give us grief about not working and call us out on our evaluations. It's not our fault that we hadn't had anything to do.

You can make money

If you work here you can make some money depending on what they pay you… but the management is terrible.. they couldn’t manage their way out of a wet paper bag

4 days a week 10 hr shifts… two 15 minute breaks one 30 minute lunch

Place is dirty, mostly all the equipment is broken, management just wants to bandaid everything, Due to broken machines high levels of dust in the air can be seen from time to time.

Horrible work place to work

JBT is far from a fair company to work for, the only benefit to working there is the schedule which allowed me to do my school and be with my kids. The insurance is absolutely horrible costing up to $1,000 a month for full family. The pay is below average, and there is no reward for being a good worker. Raises sub par, and not what was discussed when I started with the company. Trying to get in tools to do the job such as presses, specialty tools or even parts is nearly impossible and is like pulling teeth. I personally don't see JBT surviving but I could be wrong.
